Goat Cheese Balls (Sur Restaurant Recipe)

Anyone that knows me, knows that I'm a Bravoholic. I love all things Bravo, especially when it involves LVP (Lisa Vanderpump). My bestie and I have been to Sur several times in WEHO and their Goat Cheese Balls are uh-maze-ing. So when they posted the recipe to their Insta Story of COURSE I saved it and made the yummy balls. The recipe is actually pretty simple and you get yummy balls as the end result.. HAHA!

Prep Time: 15 min

Total Cook Time: 17 min

Yields 6 Balls


Goat Cheese Balls Ingredients:

  • 3oz. soft goat cheese

  • 1/2 cup corn starch

  • 1 tsp. dried thyme

  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

  • 1 egg whisked

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • Oil for frying

  • Sliced cucumber and carrots for garnish if garnishing


Mango Sauce Ingredients:

1/2 mango

1 tbsp white balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup avacado oil (I used olive)

sea salt

Pepper



Goat Cheese Balls Cooking Instructions:

  1. Roll goat cheese into 6 even mounts and place on plate lined with wax paper; freeze for 5 min

  2. Heat skillet on medium hear for 3 minutes

  3. Add oil and heat for another 3 minutes

  4. Mix thyme, paprika, cayenne pepper and bread crumbs in small bowl

  5. Whisk egg in separate bowl

  6. Place cornstarch in third bowl

  7. remove goat cheese from freezer

  8. Cover balls in cornstarch, then egg batter, then breadcrumbs

  9. Place balls in the oil and cook, turning with tongs every 3-4 seconds (for approx 3 min)

  10. Place balls on paper towel lined plate to soak up excess grease

  11. plate and garnish with mango sauce, cucumber and carrots


Mango Sauce Cooking Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients in high-powered blender or food processor until smooth
