This meal will definitely be a new family favorite! Its super easy to prepare and make. Clean up is also super fast and easy! Remember, even though this is an easy meal you must plan in advance to make as total cooking time is over six hours. I tuck this recipe away when I'm looking for that quick, yet filling meal when I don't have a lot of time to cook or am feeling lazy. Yes, we all have those moments where we want to be lazy cooks!

Prep Time: 10 Min

Total Cook Time: 6 Hours, 20 Min

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 Lbs chuck roast

  • 1 packet onion soup mix

  • 1 packet ranch dressing seasoning

  • 1 stick of butter

  • 6-8 pepperoncini peppers

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Heat 2 table spoons olive oil in skillet and brown chuck roast 3-4 minutes on each side.

  2. Add chuck roast to crock pot. Pour packets of onion soup and ranch dressing seasonings on top of roast. Place your stick of butter in the middle of the roast. Use the pepperoncini peppers and place around the edges of the roast.

  3. Select the low cooking setting on your crock pot for 6 hours.

  4. Once the roast is done cooking (your kitchen will smell amazing) shred roast and serve.

Note: I serve over mashed potatoes. I make my mashed potatoes in the InstaPot and you can find that recipe in the "Side Dish" portion of the blog.
